Will the XML validation feature use an XSD schema file or does this feature only use DTDs? If so, are there any assumptions as far the location of the XSD file? I have not found any documentation that discusses this.

    Mark,

Presently MyEclipse uses the Xerces (2.0.0) plugin that ships with Eclipse to peform XML validation only on deployment descriptors. General XML validation is not available at this time. I believe the current Xerces plugin will support XSD parsing. We are watching the Eclipse team’s approach to see if we need to stay follow or branch to provide this support for the new XSD deployment descriptors required for J2EE 1.4 support.

Is this still true? I posted another topic requesting xsd validation and came across this older post.
