mreadeMemberSupport,
I am currently working on an app after installing the newest development build (V2.3.2dev4).
The app I am designing works fine within the Test Center. However, after publishing a native app and loading it on my iPhone, it fails to perform the math which seems to work fine within the Test Center.
I know this is a broad question, but are you having issues with the newest development release?
Thanks
mreade
paulDMemberJust a quick question, have you tried running the app in chrome and running the console to see whats going on?
I don’t have a lot of faith in the test centre at the moment.
mreadeMemberGood Morning paulD,
After receiving your reply, I did load the app in both the desktop Chrome and iPhone Chrome app only to find the same results. Although the coding works fine within the MobiOne Test Center on PC, the same is not true when the app is tried on the iPhone after it is published and a web link provided for testing.
Sadly, the app is pretty much finished, but I am unable to process it to the stores because of this glitch/bug.
Thanks for your suggestion.

mreadeMemberSupport,
Any comments on this problem?

mreadeMemberSupport,
I realize you must be swamped with other issues. However, please confirm that you have at least received this message. A response to this is holding up any further development.
Thank you

BrandonMembermreade,
I thought I would try to help out. If you open the test center and go to debugger in the bottom right hand corner are there any errors listed? It will be a small red error text?
Also, is it specific function or math that fails? or in general?
mreadeMemberSupport,
Here is the problem….
In the test center, the app works fine. it does all of the math and shows a NaN in the answer if i try to calculate results with no values in the fields. However, after I publish this to test on my iPhone, NONE of the math works, and i do not get any NaN in the result fields.
My first app worked fine. However, this second app just does not show anything, nor is there any action in the second app.
Confusing?

BrandonMemberWell, without access to the project or code, and not knowing if errors show up its really hard to say. Can you get a screenshot of the test center with the debugger running?
mreadeMemberCincyPlanet,
OK, I have not used the debugger before, so I am venturing into new waters.
In the Test Center, I’ve opened the debugger, but i do not see anything in the bottom right hand corner, just a window with code, and to the left a Call Stack and Scope Variables section.
As I select the “Calculate” button in the app, The Call Stack fills with some (anonymous function) listings, but i do not see a small red error text.
Basically, i enter values in text fields which are set to numbers, after selecting a calc button a function does the math and displays the math results.
Like i say, this works in the Test Center. BUT does not work after I install and test same on the iPhone? This is the puzzling thing.

PS: Thanks for you feedback.
mreadeMemberHere is a screen capture or the app running with debugger.

BrandonMemberthat is strange. I have only had those kinds of problems with code errors.
One thing I do notice id that you are using some PhoneGap features, the debugger will not return any errors with that, as I understand it, since it doesnt access the phonegap framework until it is compiled. Not sure if this could be the problem or not.
mreadeMemberSupport,
The first app i created back in January 2013 tested fine in the Test Center and also on my iPhone. However, the same is NOT so with my second app I am creating using a very similar code.
The second app does work fine in the Test Center. However, after sending a web link to my iPhone for testing, NONE of the math coding works! This is becoming more and more frustration each day. I have even rebuilt the form from scratch and still the same problem presists.
Interesting is this, I opened the form html in Chrome and although the fields were screwed up, NONE of the math coding worked. However, when i opened the form html in Internet Explorer, although the fields are moved around and some of the buttons are not visible, the math coding DOES work.
Could this have something to do with a recent program upgrade to Cordova (PhoneGap) 2.2?
Please provide some feedback as this is holding up being able to finish and publish this to the app stores.
PS: I did post another message about this, and never received any support feedback.
Thanks in advance

support-octavioMemberHi mreade,
It seems odd, can you confirm me that you only have a <app>_custom.js file? It might be that when you run a secondary screen it works on TC because it generates files just for that screen. And when you generate files for mainScreen the code in <secondScreen>_custom.js file is not automatically added to your <mainScreen>_custom.js file. If this is not the problem, please send us your project to our support email.
mreadeMemberOctavio,
Thanks for getting back to me on this. I have been really puzzled over this as well.
I am not entirely sure i understand what you are asking. But, yes, I only have one _custom.js file in the form_WWW folder is generated. After the i send the app to the Test Center, all five of the multipages show up and move from page to page when i select the tabBar icon along the bottom.
In the Test Center the coding works in all five pages too. However, when i publish the app so i can test it on the iPhone, only the calc code on page4 works and the calc code for page3 does not work. I see all the pages but the actually calculations do not occur on page2.
I will email you a zip file to the support email.
Thanks
mreade
