I have specified C:\home\myhome\mydomains\watsdomain in the Execution domain root.
this is a domain that I created using the WebLogic tool.
I am able to run WebLogic from the command line for this domain and it works fine.
What is MyEclipse expecting to find that it is not?

I have attached a screen shot of my Configure new server screen

    Mickey,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. Thank you for the screenshot.
MyEclipse connector looks for config and servers folders in a valid domain directory.

Can you please clarify if the domain directory (C:\home\myhome\mydomains\watsdomain) you have pointed to contains folders named ‘config’ and ‘servers’ ?

If the folders are there , then please send us screeenshots of contents of C:\home\myhome\mydomains\watsdomain folder, and ‘config’ and ‘servers’ folders to help us investigate further. Please also let us know how you have created the domain. Is it by running the config.cmd located in the wls_home/common/bin folder?

Let us know how it works.

The watsdomain folder contains both a config and a servers folder.

I have attached screen shots of both the config and servers folders.

    Best regards,
    Mickey

    Mickey,

    Thank you for the screenshots.

Can you please verify if there are any trailing spaces in the domain path entered? Please select the domain folder by clicking on ‘Browse’ and verify.

If the issue persists, can you please try with a domain created in another directory to rule out permission issues?

If none of the suggestions help, then please create an empty domain folder with empty config and servers folders and check if the validation error persists. Please also share with us the OS and version details for further investigation.

Apologies for inconvenience caused. Let us know how it works.

OS : Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1
    Java : jdk1.7.0_76 64bit
    MyEclipse : 2015 stable 3
    WebLogic 12c

I have verified that there are no trailing spaces in the domain path.

I tried creating a empty domain folder with a config and a servers folder. Same result

    Best regards,
    Mickey

    Mickey,

Thank you for getting back to us. Unfortunately we are unable to replicate the issue at our end. I have escalated it to the dev team to investigate further.

Can you please clarify if you see the same issue with a domain created in a different drive other than C ?

    Thank you for your patience.

    Problem resolved.

I am happy to say that I was able to get it to work by reinstalling MyEclipse 2015.
    Thanks for your help.

    Mickey,

I was going to reply with some additional debugging details when I saw your post about the re-install fixing it – which is almost as perplexing as the original issue.

Did you install MyEclipse in the same location after the reinstall? Do you happen to have the .log file from your workspace (it’s at /.metadata/.log) that you can share with it? It could explain why the checks were failing.

Glad you are up and going though!

I backed up the original MyEclipse install then installed in a new directory with the same name.
I have attached the .log file you requested

    Oh well,
It will not let me upload the log file.

    Mickey,

Sorry about the security errors, could you zip the file and upload the zip?
