tzundelMemberHello Support,
I attempted to upgrade from 7.1.1 to 7.5 this morning… I let the “pulse” thing churn away for a good long time, then received the following error in a dialog box labeled “Problem Occurred”.
The top of the dialog box has:
<quote>
‘Performing Updates…’ has encountered a problem. This status has children statusses. See ‘Details’ for more information..
</quote>When I press the “details” button, I get the following:

</quote>(NOTE: I also have a screenshot of this that I can email to you if you want it)
I’m running on Windows, with a ‘stock’ MyEclipse. I’ve avoided attempting to install anything ‘3rd party’. I’ve only ever installed things that the “pulse dashboard” offers. (And then, only Subversive). (The 7.x series seems pretty ‘dodgy’ by itself, no need to throw in additional variables)
Okay, I’ve now restarted MyEclipse, and this is what I see. The “Splash Screen” identifies it as “MyEclipse 7.5”. However, the Dashboard offers 7.5 as an upgrade.
So, I’m not sure if I’m updated or not. When I press the “Install” button (on the dashboard) next to the “MyEclipse 7.5 Update”, it doesn’t let me choose “finish”. So, clearly something is wrong there.
When I check the installation details (included below), it identifies itself as 7.1.1 (Even though the splash screen says 7.5).
Here are my Installation Details:

Riyad KallaMembertzundel,
Can you go to Help > Software Updates > Add/Remove Software, and see if the MyEclipse 7.5 Update is marked as “To Install”, and if it is, hit APply and see if it applies cleanly?
tzundelMemberHello Riyad,
Thanks for the response. Am trying it right now, will let you know regardless of what happens.

tzundelMemberHello again Riyad (and everyone else),
I tried your suggestion: It churned for a while, and then died.
After that: I shut down MyEclipse, launched the Pulse Explorer, and choose MyEclipse 7.5. It churned and churned for a long while. Finally, it seemed to succeed.
I can now launch MyEclipse 7.5, and receive no error messages. The Splash Screen *AND* Installation Summary are both in agreement that it is 7.5.
I’m going to assume it “works” (I haven’t really exercised it yet). So, consider this case closed. If, for some reason, it doesn’t work, I’ll open another ‘ticket’.
Thanks,
tzundel
Riyad KallaMembertzundel,
I think I know what happened — we updated the update-site midway through your provisioning of the first update, so what happened is it partially applied, failed, we changed it, then it couldn’t finish applying because the metadata on the update site was *slightly* different.Going into Pulse and doing it that way *forced* it to retry from the get-go and applied everything from the new update site, so you are all set now.
I’m sorry for that interruption in service there.
