ahadoMemberHi – I’ve pulled down the 6.5 compressed archive and upgraded a 6.0.1 installation. Following this almost all Spring visibility is lost. I have several projects using spring and the configuration files are no longer recognised as spring configs. The spring editor is not offered in the full list of editors (only the Beans Graph). There is no mention of Spring in the MyEclipse menu and the MyEclipse submenu from the Package Explorer only offers “Open in Explorer” and “Run an XDoclet”.
On installation there were a number of conflicts with existing components in the eclipse installation – mostly in EMF. I had to disable the older versions in eclipse.
I would be grateful if you could make any suggestions for fixes!

ahadoMemberA quick follow up on the problem –
I just switched workspace and got the following error. Obviously a spring config file had been open in the workspace when I last used it:Error opening the editor:
no editor descriptor for id com.genuitec.eclipse.springframework.springconfigeditor
Loyal WaterMemberahado,
You should have upgraded to 6.5 by going to Help > Software Updates > …The archive update that you downloaded has to be setup with a fresh install of Eclipse 3.3. You should install Eclipse to a brand new location and then setup MyEclipse using the archive update that you download.
Let me know if the problem persists.
ahadoMemberWill do. I used the archive because we are behind a very resticted and slow firewall!
Thanks for your help.
Loyal WaterMemberYour welcome. Let me know if the problem persists.
ahadoMemberThanks Nipun – finally fixed, details in the “Where’s the regular download thread”. Basically had to install a clean Eclipse 3.3 and then used the local archive site to get myeclipse in.
Ahado
Loyal WaterMemberGlad you got it to work. Thanks for letting me know.
