Hi,

after having a lot of problems when working with ME 10.5 32-bit, I installed the 64-bit version.

Now I get the following error – one of round about 350 of the same type – protocolled in .log:

What did I do before? I excluded a lot of resources from validation. Actually the exclusion had no effect, maybe as of this error message.

What can I do to get away from these error messages?
How can I make ME to really exclude the defined files to exclude?

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

Can you answer some more questions for us ?

1. Can you please copy paste the Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details ?

2. What sort of project are you trying to validate ?

3. When is the validation being performed (e.g. manually/automatically) ?

4. How are you trying to exclude the files from validation ?

5. There is an issue in Eclipse, where a similar error occurs when the dep.index file size is zero. Can you check if the dep.index file size is zero and delete it if it is zero?

2./3. It’s not me trying to, but the system that automatically runs the validation after having updated the validation exclusions.

4. selected project / Properties / MyEclipse / validation / excluded resources

5. dep.index file size is 1 KB. Nevertheless I renamed it and tried again with the same result. So, sorry, but the bug report doesn’t help.

Thanks for the details. I could not replicate the issue at my end.

There must be a specific file which is failing during the exclusion.

1. Do you see the issue with other projects too while excluding resources from validation? If no then can you please add the resources one by one to exclude and figure out which exact resource is causing this issue?

2.Can you switch to a new workspace, create a simple web project and try excluding a JSP page and check if you are seeing the issue?

3. Can you please also prepare a sample project which exhibits the problem and send it to us to help replicate the issue at our end? Please zip the project and attach it to this post.
