    Moved from Pulse forums: http://www.poweredbypulse.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1404

I installed a trial version of MyEclipse 8.6 (Spring) and then installed a licensed version of MyEclipse 8.5. The Configuration Center notes 41 managed changes. When I click “Apply 41 changes” I get a dialog box titled “Validating MyEclipse 8.6” which ends with error:

    Software being installed: MyEclipse 8.6 (Profile) 2.0.0.0000000006 (com.poweredbypulse.profile-863481-rmb-819468 2.0.0.0000000006)

Missing requirement: MyEclipse 8.6 (Profile) 2.0.0.0000000006 (com.poweredbypulse.profile-863481-rmb-819468 2.0.0.0000000006) requires ‘org.maven.ide.eclipse.mylyn3.feature.feature.grou p 0.0.0’ but it could not be found

Given that I’m trying to update 8.5, there is clearly a mixup. How can I cleanout the common area and start over?

    Robin,

How are you trying to update 8.5? Are you using the Pulse/Archived Site/Update Site?

If you are using Pulse, you can do the following steps:

    1) Open the Pulse Explorer, select the right base Eclipse from the Explorer.
    2) Under My Profiles, right click on the version of ME you are trying to update and select “Reinstall then Run”.
This should fix any dependency issues.

Also you can have a look at this post to understand how to upgrade to a latest release :
    https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-how-to-upgrade-to-latest-release/

You can also try a clean reinstall. Here is the post for the same:

Let us know how it works for you.

Thank you. The 8.5 install was a complete install rather than an update. I think that’s how the common area got confused.

Good to hear you are all set.

    Best.
