    Hello MyEclipse,

My workplace has purchased 15 MyEclipse licenses (on my recommendation). 1 set of 10, and 1 set of 5 licenses.

The set of 10 licenses is 92 days from expiration. Given the way purchasing works around here (Some things take forever to get purchased), we want to start the process early and ensure that we don’t lapse in our subscriptions.

However, sometimes, things run through in only a day or two…

So, my question is this: If we re-purchase our licenses today, does the subscription extend for an additional year from the original expire date? Or does it expire 1 year from the purchase date of the new licenses?

(If it expires 1 year from the day we purchase the new licenses, we need to try and ‘time’ our license purchase to not overlap the old and new licenses by 3 months)

Thanks for any information you can provide on this. I did a quick search through the licensing information on your website but didn’t find anything… (Perhaps this could be made a FAQ? I assume I’m not the only one who has this question (It may already be a FAQ that I simply didn’t find))

    Thanks,

    Tory

    Tory,
You can renew early, however, if you wish to do so, you must submit the order for manual processing….online renewals can only be within 45 days of the expiration date. If you want to renew early, you need to fax or email a copy of the company purchase order to Fax +1 214 853 4284 or email [email protected]

If you renew before the expiration date, it will renew based off your current expiration date..for instance, if the expiration date is May 15, 2009 and you renew prior to that date, it will renew to May 15, 2010. If you renew after the expiration date then it will renew 1 year from the date of purchase.
