    I’m not sure if this was supposed to work in 3.8.1, but Scott mentioned all issues in my previous post would be solved with 3.8.1. This one certainly does not …

    <li><%=error%></li>
    </html:messages>

    Here, <%=error %> will be marked invalid due to error not being recognized.

    Chris,
    This turned out to be a bigger bug than we thought and its still open with high priority in our tracker. We hope to get this one fixed soon, sorry for the trouble.

    However, IIRC, this is marked as a reconciler error and not a compiler error, so it shouldn’t polute your project with fake errors, just incorrect reconciler marks in the right margin per file.
