    Hi everybody,

I’m trying to run MyEclipse on a Windows Server 2003 64bit Prof. OS but whenever I try to open a JSP- or HTML-Page in Eclipse using the JSP-Designer I get this:

The other stuff (Classic JSP-Editor, XML- and TLD-editor, Webbrowser and so on) is working properly. What could be the reason why the JSP- and HTML-Designer isn’t working?

We have seen this error on similiar setups to yours. We haven’t been able to replicate the error on our end. We aren’t for sure what configuration causes this problem. However, we are currently in the process of building our next-generation visual HTML/JSP designer, so it uses new technology and hopefully will be compatiblle with your setup.

    Hi,

I just installed eclipse 3.2 and Myeclipse 5.0 M1 on win 2003 server (64 bit).

The new installer is working fine, but the JSP- and HTML-designer are still not working :((

    regards

    Alain,
The new designer will be in Milestone 2, it didn’t go into Milestone 1.

I have just installed Myeclipse 4.1.l and Eclipse version is 3.1. I use Window XP (Prof 32bit) and j2sdk 1.4. When I try create a new JSP file, it also shows me the above error message. But for creating a new servlet, it is fine. Could anyone help?

    ging.au,
This could be caused by havnig either Visual Studio or Office installed or even a beta of IE 7. As Greg pointed out this should be corrected in our next (Milestone 2) pre-release of MyEclipse 5.0
