When I startup eclipse 3.2.1 with MyEclipse 5.1.0, my configured JBoss 4.0.5 server does not show up in the “Servers” view until I go to “Preferences – MyEclipse – Application Servers – JBoss 4”. Once I click on this navigation item in the preferences dialog, the JBoss server appears in the “Servers” view.

It’s true that you need to enable & configure the app server first from the connector preferences area you mentioned before it shows up… so I’m not sure if this is a bug or just a behavior that wasn’t clear.

I think I did not my myself clear: I already configured both the JBoss server itself as well as deployed an application. Then when I _restart_ Eclipse, the “Servers” view does not show my deployed application _until_ I click on the navigation item “JBoss 4” in the Preferences. Once the configuration tab for JBoss 4 is diplayed, the deployed application appears in the “Servers” view without me changing anything in the preferences.

I just tested a few scenarios locally and it seems like if you close the project and restart, the deployments are forgotten for the closed project until you open it and restart (that looks like a bug)

Is this similar to what you are seeing?
