    Hello,

I installed MyEclipse 6.5 through Pulse running on Ubuntu.

I want to use the built in icefaces support. The release documentation refers to installing it from “Community Essentials”.

I can’t find anything in pulse or in the downloads that references “Community Essentials”. Can someone tell me how to enable icefaces support?

The MyEclipse–>Add Feature seems to be missing in 6.5. Any help is appreciated.

    thanks,
    bart

    Bart,
Can you go to Windows > Preferences > General > Capabilities and Check “Classic Updates”. Now go to Help > Software Update > Find and Install and follow the wizard to setup ICEFaces.

Well, I did as you asked. Went to the first Software Update and chose Find and Install. No wizard started. I selected the MyEclipse repository and chose ICEfaces AJAX Tooling for MyEclipse version 6.5.1 but it won’t let me install because of the following error.

“Buckminster – Subclipse support (incubation) (0.2.0.r3554) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.buckminster.core” error

This is unacceptable. I am this —><— close to disputing my credit card charge and switching to net beans.

    Bart,
If you have Pulse installed with an associated Pulse account, you can load up your MyEclipse profile, and next to “MyEclipse” in the software profile view, you should see a green “+” you can click to add the “Community Essential” features to MyEclipse from Pulse.

If you used the Pulse-optimized installer for MyEclipse on Linux, you will need to run Pulse, and click “Register” and during the registration process you will be asked to Migrate your profiles to your new account. Once you’ve done that you can use the Pulse software management interface to augment the base profiles.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
