Could you explain a bit more what your installation and usage has been? In other words – Did you move or copy the installation folder? Have you ever installed Pulse before previous to MyEclipse 7.1?
Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary >Installation Details. Can you switch to a new workspace and check if this issue persists?
Pulse is not able to determine the profile – user. Can you try this – From MyEclipse IDE, click on Help > Software Updates > Manage in Pulse Explorer. This will open your ME profile in Pulse. Right click on “MyEclipse 7.1” and click on [re-install and run].
In case the above menu option is not listed, please follow below mentioned steps –
    1. Open Pulse. If you don’t have pulse, download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com
    2. Login to pulse
    3. Select “Eclipse – Ganymede” realm from top left hand corner dropdown.
    4. From “My Profiles” expand and select “MyEclipse 7.1”
    5. Right click on “MyEclipse 7.1” and click on [re-install and run]
    6. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.
Let me know how this works for you.
