I have a spring beans definition XML file. It gets validation errors attributed to the HTML4 loose dtd. I can’t see why the MyEclipse validator should be applying this DTD to this file, which has no doctype but has a schema definition for the usual spring schema.

Severity and Description Path Resource Location Creation Time Id
Referenced file contains errors (file:/C:/x/dtd/loose.dtd). For more information, right click on the message and select “Show Details…” spring_web_services/WebRoot/WEB-INF beans.xml line 1 1186014482618 35092

Can you paste your XML file here for me.

Also, can you go through the posting guidelines thread at the top of the forum and paste your installation details here for me.

I was running 3.2.2 with MyEclipse 5.5. All had been well in one workspace, but I imported the project into another and got struck with this. I then did some local research that led me to believe that the problem was dregs of WTP conflicting with MyEclipse. So, I downloaded 6.0M1, cleaned the WTP dregs out of .project and .classpath, and everything got better. I could still post my spring bean config file that suffered this problem, but I don’t think either of us should spend any more time on this, you should close it out.
