Although I don’t think it really has that much effect, I really like the idea behind Sun’s bug database.. where users can vote for the most annoying bugs / most important new features.
There are several very compelling suggestions for new features in myeclipse. It would be very cool to be able to see them listed, and be able to help influence their priority.

We like this idea and actively solicit feedback for MyEclipse. One of the advantages of using PostNuke for our forums is that any user can start a poll. If you’d like to read through the enhancement request or bug forums and start a couple of polls to allow users to vote for features, similar to the way we’re allowing app server voting, I’d encourage you to do so. These forums are read by most of our company, including management, so all input is used to help prioritize the development tasks.
