After upgrading to 4.1.1 on MacOSX, the application shutdown menu item does not work (stays grayed out). The same (almost virtual) setup on Windows XP works with no problem (same 4.1.1 GA).

What application server are you using? We have known problem with a couple of different app servers with their shutdown menu items being disabled. The workaround is just to go to the console view and terminate the appserver there.

Right now Tomcat 5.5.12. I’ve got Weblogic 8.1 and Jetty configured as well, but I haven’t been using them lately.

I’ve also been using your suggestion of terminating the app from the console.

After installing 4.1.1 GA, I cannot use the standard AppServer shutdown with the any of my configured app servers, which are Tomcat 4.1, Tomcat 5.5, JBoss 3.2.7, and JBoss 4.0. I can use the Terminate button on the Console.
