once I install a m2e connector, myeclipse automatically upgrades to 10.7
since I need to use maven + subclipse, I can’t avoid the connector.

Has 10.7 been checked out on MACs?
It seems I’m not the only one having this issues.

My office has 20+ mac stations using myeclipse and every one of them does not work correctly under 10.7 (jdk setting, hot deploy doesn’t reflect changes)

    minhur,

Thanks for the additional information; I was able to replicate the problem of the automatic update. I’m not sure why that is happening (it’s something for us to investigate) but there is another way to install the m2e-subclipse connector which should not bring in the 10.7 update. Please use the instructions in this FAQ: How to Install Maven SCM Connectors (ignore the note at the top). I tried this on a Mac and didn’t have the automatic update problem.

Hopefully, that can get you working again while we look at the problems you’ve reported. Sorry for the inconvenience.

thanks, the workaround worked (I was late to reply but it was crucial I was able to get it back to working again with 10.6)

I’m going to stay away from 10.7 upgrade until this issue is fixed.
    Hopefully it gets addressed soon.

    minhur,

Apologies, again, for the inconvenience but I’m glad you managed to get working again.

We’ll be looking at both problems and will try to post an update here when that fix is available.

    minhur,

This problem is now fixed in the 10.7.1 update. You should be able to get the update from the Configuration Center. You can also download a 10.7.1 installer from our downloads pages.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
